Yes or no tarot for career
Work questions come with dates attached — the interview is Thursday, the review is next month, the resignation letter is a draft. Type yours below and pick a card. It turns into a yes, no, maybe, or not yet, read through the card's meaning for work and money.
A career yes or no reads each card through its professional face. The Six of Wands is a yes because it's recognition; the Ten of Wands is a no because it's burden without reward. The answer is about the situation and your position in it, not a prediction of a hiring manager's mood.
Career questions to ask the cards
- Will I get the job?
- Will I get the promotion?
- Should I quit my job?
- Will I pass my exam?
- Should I take the offer?
- Will the interview go well?
- Should I ask for a raise?
- Is it time to change careers?
- Should I start my own business?
- Will I get the transfer?
Linked questions have a page of their own, with the signs to look for and the cards that answer each way. For the rest, type the question into the pull above.
Asking the cards about work
Name the decision, not the whole career. 'Should I take this offer?' is answerable. 'What should I do with my life?' needs a three-card reading, not one. If a question has a date, hold the date in mind too — 'will I hear back this week' and 'will I get the job' can get different cards for good reason.
The best work questions are the ones where your next move depends on the answer: ask, apply, negotiate, leave, stay. The card is most useful when it changes what you do on Monday.
Timing in career cards
Some cards carry pace. The Eight of Wands and the Knight of Swords are fast — days, not months. The Seven of Pentacles, the Knight of Pentacles and Temperance say yes on a longer timeline. The Hanged Man means the decision is suspended somewhere above you, and 'not yet' is the honest answer.
A 'not yet' at work is rarely a rejection. More often it's a reorganisation, a budget cycle, or a case you haven't finished making in writing.
