How to read with the cheat sheet

A cheat sheet is for recall. When a card lands in your spread, find its row and read the upright keywords as questions: is this situation about new beginnings, about trust, about waiting? One of them will fit, and that is the thread to follow onto the card’s own page, where the meaning is written in full, with how it reads as feelings, as a person, in love and at work.

Reversed keywords are not the opposite of upright ones. A reversed card is the same energy blocked, delayed, overdone or turned inward; the reversed tarot card meanings guide goes through it properly. The yes or no column is the card’s leaning in a one-card pull, and the yes or no card index gives the reasoning behind each one.

If you are learning, read the beginner’s notes on the index page first: the shape of the deck matters more than any single row here, and the three-card spread is the simplest place to put the sheet to work.

Cheat sheet questions

How do I use a tarot card meanings cheat sheet?

Keep it beside you while you read. When a card lands, find its row, read the three or four upright keywords, and ask which of them your situation is already showing. Then open the card's page for the fuller meaning. The sheet is for recall, not for replacing the reading.

Can I print this cheat sheet?

Yes. The print button at the top uses your browser's print dialog, which also lets you save it as a PDF. The print layout drops the colours and navigation and keeps the table.

Why are the reversed keywords different from the opposite of upright?

Because a reversed card is the same energy blocked, delayed or turned inward, not its negation. The Sun reversed is warmth that is dimmed or doubted, not darkness. The reversed guide explains how to read them.

What does the yes or no column mean?

It is the card's leaning when you pull it for a yes or no question: yes, no, maybe, or not yet. Fifty-six of the 78 cards lean yes in some form. The full reasoning for each card is on the yes or no card index.

Is this a tarot card meanings list for beginners?

It works as one. Read the Major Arcana rows first, then one suit at a time. The index page has a short beginner's guide to the shape of the deck, and every row links to the card's own page.
