Yes or no tarot

Will I get married?

First, ask your question. Then you’ll pick a card.

Whether you're twenty-six and tired of the question at family dinners or forty and wondering if it's still on the table, hold it and draw one card below. You'll get a yes, no, maybe, or not yet, read through the card's meaning in love.

The card can't tell you a date or a name. It can tell you whether marriage is near your path right now, somewhere up ahead, or being asked about by a part of you that wants something else entirely.

Signs marriage is close

  • You're with someone who talks in decades

The future tense is the most reliable predictor of a wedding. If the plans have you both in them, so does the next step.

  • You've stopped auditioning

You're no longer trying to be chosen; you're choosing. That shift in posture tends to arrive shortly before the person does.

  • Your life has room in it

A partner needs space — in your schedule, your flat, your plans. If you've been making it without noticing, something in you is ready.

  • Introductions are happening

Friends setting you up, a family match being discussed, a colleague's cousin. The world is moving on the question too.

Signs it's not this season

  • You want the wedding more than the marriage

The day is one afternoon. If the picture in your head stops at the photos, the card will usually say 'not yet' — kindly.

  • You're asking to end a worry, not start a life

'Will I get married' asked out of fear of being left behind is a different question from the one asked out of love. Both are allowed; only one gets a useful answer.

  • You're still building yourself

New career, new city, healing from something. The Hermit and the Hanged Man aren't a no. They're a 'you first'.

Questions people ask

Which tarot cards predict marriage?
The Hierophant, the Four of Wands, the Ten of Cups, the Lovers and the Two of Cups are the marriage and commitment cards. The Ten of Pentacles adds family blessing and long-term security.
Will I get married this year — can the card say?
Not the calendar, but the pace. Fast cards (Eight of Wands, Knight of Wands) mean soon; slow cards (Seven of Pentacles, Temperance, Knight of Pentacles) mean it's coming but not quickly; the Hanged Man and 'not yet' mean this year is for something else.
Does the Nine of Pentacles mean I'll never marry?
No. It means you're whole on your own, which is the best possible place to marry from. Read it as 'not needed right now', not 'not ever'.
